CE Spanish

OVERVIEW

We offer Common Entrance (CE) Spanish exams at levels 1 and 2 at 13+ only. Our Spanish specification is designed by a team of setters made up of experienced Heads of Department from both prep and senior schools, and approved by ISEB’s Academic Committee for Languages. 

Our Spanish syllabus aims to help pupils develop the skills to understand the written and spoken language and use the language effectively across a broad range of linguistic activities while encouraging positive attitudes towards the use of foreign languages and towards speakers of foreign languages.

Candidates may use a standard English-Spanish dictionary during the preparation period for speaking exams only. Candidates whose first language is not English may have access to a bilingual translation dictionary, but not in the target language (Spanish).
