Celebrating World Book Day 2023

Designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, World Book Day is marked in over 100 countries around the globe. Each year charities and organisations celebrate the day by highlighting fantastic initiatives, events and activities available for families, teachers and pupils.

As an assessment board, ISEB understands the importance of reading and learning for progression in academic studies, but it is important to remember the value reading can have for personal development, confidence and understanding. We encourage all students completing English CE to read as widely as possible across genres and categories, and recognise this through awarding the ISEB Reading Certificate, find out more about this qualification included in the CE English specification.

We have rounded up a range of upcoming events, activities and resources available in celebration of World Book Day and we are looking forward to getting involved!
