The ISEB Pre-Tests (11+) Admissions Toolkit

Welcome to the Admissions Toolkit for the ISEB Pre-Tests, the online entrance assessments used by leading senior schools as part of their admissions processes.

The ISEB Pre-Tests (11+) are a set of online, adaptive tests used by leading senior schools as part of their admissions processes. There are four parts to the Pre-Tests: English, mathematics, verbal reasoning (VR) and non-verbal reasoning (NVR).

On the following pages you will find a wide range of helpful information about registering and preparing for the ISEB Pre-Tests. Information, guidance and resources directly from ISEB, the exam board behind the tests.

Time to Write Creative Writing Competition - Open Now

Enter your child’s story via their school for the chance to see it brought to life as an illustrated book!

Time to Write is a groundbreaking creative writing competition for pupils aged 7-16, brought to you by ISEB and IAPS. Open to all schools, Time to Write 2025 features four age-based categories and prizes for both the winning writers and their schools. The winning stories will be turned into beautifully illustrated books.

The competition is open now and will close on 2 February 2025. If you have a young writer at home who would like to enter, please speak to their school about the competition. Visit the Time to Write website to learn more about the competition, and how your child can enter.
